TV2 intends to become market leader within three years
After five years spent as sales director, Zoltán Várdy became the new general director of TV2 in the beginning of August. Though he had been appointed a vice president of SBS Broadcasting last December, he has resigned from this position when he was offered the job of general director with TV2. He believes that the main challenge for him in his new position will be to reconcile business interests with creative and qualitative aspects. His objective is to turn the TV2 group into the market leading media enterprise in Hungary within three years. In order to achieve this, various strategic and operative measures need to be taken and an atmosphere of healthy competition has to be created. With other members of management, he has worked out a strategy for establishing a simplified organisational structure which would promote fulfilling their business objectives.
