It is not sure that there is quality Italian red wine in the bottles – turned out from a consumer protection action of which thirty thousand bottles of counterfeit wine was seized by the authorities.
The staff of the Siena police seized the bottles in the cellars of wineries bottling plants and supermarkets of Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Liguria.
Deapite the labels of the worldwide known Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti, Falanghina and other protected, controlled and guaranteed origin Italian brand names, the bottles were filled with shoddy quantities of table wine.
