E-commerce grows by one third in September
In September 2020 like-for-like retail volume sales fell by 2 percent if adjusted for calendar effects – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Food and food-type retail outlets experienced a 2-percent sales growth. Mail order companies and online shops have an 8.4-percent share in total retail sales: their sales performance jumped 33 percent in volume. Petrol stations saw their volume sales drop 9.8 percent. In January-September 2020 retail volume sales were 0.5 percent higher than in the first nine months of 2019. Food and food-type retail sales increased by 3.5 percent. //
