Home delivery will be available at Lidl soon
At the moment, there is no home delivery at Lidl, but it may be soon – writes Villágggazdaság, after contacting the retail chain about the topic.
On Lidl’s official website, it can be read that “you can buy our products in our stores, in person, we do not have a home delivery service”. In this regard, it was confirmed to Világgazdaság that online shopping is currently not available in Lidl Hungary’s service, but it was emphasized that the company is continuously monitoring the possibility of introducing it in the future. They did not reveal anything more specific than that, including when the results of the said examination might be due. Still, this communication seems to represent a change compared to the past and makes it likely that a new era can begin at Lidl and home delivery will become available even within a short period of time.
The introduction is supported by the fact that online trade took off in 2021, with consumers spending every tenth of their HUF online. The FMCG companies also reacted to this, most retail chains now offer home delivery as a service – it is understandable that Lidl is also on the verge of this change.
