ZORD will soon be in Lidl
At the end of July 2023, a new chapter will open in the Hungarian soft drink market: the drink developed by Zord, Balázs Pachert and Levente Balogh, modeled after the American Prime, will be on the shelves of Lidl stores. Until now, a product that was only available in limited distribution now reaches a wider audience, and at the same favorable price as Prime.
The creation of the Zord soft drink is a good example of how Hungarian influencers and entrepreneurs can take advantage of the marketing potential inherent in social media. This new product is the result of a collaboration between Balázs Pachert, the owner of the popular sneaker webshop, BALAZS KICKS, and Levente Balogh, the founder of Szentkirályi Magyarország, which focuses on the market of hydrating soft drinks, avoiding the regulatory changes affecting energy drinks.
Zord is not just a new soft drink, but a consciously built brand concept that aims to repeat the success of the American Prime. By leveraging the power of influencer campaigns and social media, the product quickly reached the first 10,000 units sold, exclusively online and in selected locations. However, the partnership with Lidl opens up a new dimension in distribution, allowing a wider range of customers to have access to the drink.
Zord and Prime will be available at Lidl at the same time, both at a price of HUF 799, which creates a competitive situation between the two brands. This pricing strategy gives consumers the opportunity to compare the two products and decide which one better suits their tastes and needs.
