MA-HAL: 30 to 35 percent of annual fish consumption occurs at the end of the year
30-35 percent of annual fish consumption falls to the end of the year, a spokesman for the Hungarian Aquaculture and Fisheries Trade Organization (MA-HAL) told M1 news channel.
Lévai Ferenc said that in Hungary one person eats an average of 6.7 kilograms of fish a year, although one should eat fish at least once a week.
But fish consumption is rising, which is also due to the fact that fish is undergoing processing and, compared to a 13 percent rise in meat prices, fish prices have not risen in Hungary for two years, he added. (MTI)
