Where tradition and future meet – the 82nd OMÉK is waiting for you
From 18 to 21 September Hungexpo will host Hungary’s oldest and biggest agricultural trade show, the National Agriculture and Food Exhibition and Fair (OMÉK).
The event is a meeting place for farmers, professional organisations, food producers and consumers. Exhibitors will include domestic producers, distributors, agricultural machinery manufacturers and there will also be thematic stands. The Hungarian Food Summit is one of the most important B2B platforms for Hungarian food export. Two years ago nearly a thousand negotiations took place between Hungarian producers and foreign buyers in a single day during OMÉK. This year more than 70 domestic exhibitors and around 200 international buyers and distributors – mainly from neighbouring countries – will meet.
Small producers will have their own pavilion, while the Passzázs gastro street will be waiting for visitors with street food, quality drinks and dishes combining traditional Hungarian flavours with modern culinary trends. Educational games, concerts and family-friendly attractions will await the youngest visitors, while professionals can attend conferences and presentations. Entry is free for school groups, a standard day ticket costs HUF 1,000, a family ticket is HUF 2,000, and admission is free for children under 6.
