When Christmas is over
Growth of the revenues in retail trade slowed down in January 2007 again. It was only 1,2 per cent more than a year before. Retail sales totalled HUF 404,7 billion n January. Food stores and similar stores accounted for 51,5 per cent of total sales. Food sales were only 0,6 per cent higher than a year before. While turnover grew in the stores accounting for the majority of sales (supermarkets, hyper markets, groceries), that of specialised stores fell by 2,1 per cent.
