McDonald’s is revising its Happy Meal menu
MCDONALD’S Happy Meal menu has been revised to remove cheeseburgers in a bid to cut calories and reduce sugar, saturated fat and salt. Chocolate milk will also be removed, and swapped for bottled water.
McDonald’s Happy Meal is a kids’ meal which has been sold at the fast food chain since 1979.
Traditionally, the meal has included a selection of mains, including a cheeseburger, a hamburger or chicken nuggets.
However, the cheeseburger option is to be removed from menu boards in a bid to make the meals healthier.
This is part of a move to lower the calorie content of meals, while boosting their health credentials.
