The growth of Czech retail sales accelerated
In April, annual growth rate of retail sales grew by 5.6 percent in the Czech Republic from the 3.9 percent of March – the Czech Statistics Office announced on Tuesday in Prague.
The population spent more on industrial goods and fuel while food expenditures fell. The turnover of the internet stores grew the most rapidly. The turnover of industrial goods increased by 12.9 percent, fuel sales by 9.9 percent and purchases of foodstuffs decreased by 3.6 percent. (MTI, Kokes János)
