The Rossmann Baby Programme soon became popular
Rossmann entered the Hungarian market in 1993. Today the drugstore chain consists of 181 units and employs 1,112 people in Hungary. The company’s turnover was HUF 43.6 billion in 2012, up 4.1 percent from the previous year. In May 2012 Rossmann launched its Baby Programme, offering discounts and counselling to mothers and mother-to-be’s. Its success is indicated by the fact that already 70,000 mothers registered for the programme. In Hungary Rossmann sells nearly 1,500 various private label products under 33 of its own brands. These products realise one fifth of the company’s turnover.
