Weed control options in sorghum cultivation – current preparations and permits
One of the greatest difficulties in sorghum cultivation is the fight against weeds, as its initial weed suppression ability is lower than that of maize. In sorghum cultivation, we can choose from many alternatives within chemical weed control procedures, which can be applied immediately after sowing (preemergence) or solutions that can be applied depending on the developmental stage of the emerged plant (postemergence).

Sorghum, which can be classified as a cereal, can be considered an alternative to maize, but it is more drought-tolerant and much more resistant to adverse weather conditions. This plant can be an opportunity and a solution for farmers to provide a secure income even in drought conditions and in less well-equipped growing areas. One of the greatest difficulties in sorghum cultivation is the fight against weeds, as its initial weed suppression ability is lower than that of maize, so weed control is a must. In sorghum cultivation, there are many alternatives to choose from for PRE/POST treatments within the chemical weed control procedures. The use of licensed products may only be done in compliance with the provisions of the license documents.
