Aldi has partnered with kids’ food creator, Rachel Stirling to create a series of lunchbox ideas for under £5 as children return to school after half term.
Designed to keep lunchboxes exciting at good value, the five recipes include a breakfast muffin sandwich, cheese and veggie swirls, chicken and carrot mini sausage rolls, chocolate and courgette brownie muffins and pepperoni pitta pizza with veggies.
All ingredients included in the meal ideas are also available via each of the discount grocer’s stores.
“Lunchtimes can be a struggle for many parents and coming up with new ideas to make lunchboxes both fun and great value is a real challenge – especially when families are having to tighten their belts,” The Lunchbox Mama, Rachel Stirling said.
“But packing lunchboxes doesn’t have to be dull – I’m determined to show that with Aldi that there are lots of ways to make lunchboxes more exciting while still making sure they’re packed with nutritional value to see children through the school day.”
This comes as Aldi, along with supermarket giants launched half term initiatives to helping families keep the costs of school holidays as low as possible amid the cost-of-living crisis.
The deals included Tesco, M&S and Morrisons Kids Eat Free schemes, Asda’s £1 Kids Meal Deal and Iceland’s free school meal vouchers.
