Retail sales in the euro area were weak in September

German retail pulls back eurozone
The European Union’s statistical office (Eurostat) said on Friday that seasonally adjusted data showed a 0.3 percent month-on-month decline in the 19-member eurozone and a 2.5 percent year-on-year increase in retail sales in September.
Analysts expected an increase of 1.5 percent year-over-year and 0.2 percent from the previous month. (MTI)
