The yield of cereals is poor in Slovakia
Yields weaker than in previous years are expected in Slovakia for cereals this year – was revealed by the preliminary data published by the Feed Manufacturers Federation on Thursday.
In Slovakia basic cereals were produced on 531 thousand hectares this year, namely wheat and barley. The association expects a total of about 2.41 million tonnes. 1.7 million tonnes of wheat may be produced with a yield of 4.6 tonnes per hectare, and about half a million tonnes of barley, with a yield of 4.2 tonnes per hectare.
