The GVH’s activities helped consumers to save 136 billion HUF
The activities of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) helped consumers to save 136 billion HUF between 2010 and 2016 – the agency told on Wednesday.
According to the information, the GVH has published the economic analysis that is quantifying the consumer benefits from competition protection for the third time.
The calculation is based on the price pressure effect of the competitiors: the GVH’s intervention saves consumers from those additional expenditures, they would face because of blocked anti-competitive practices and mergers. (MTI)
