According to the information, in December 2018, EU legislators adopted a directive to strengthen the position of Member States’ competition authorities through more effective enforcement and to ensure the proper functioning of the internal market. The directive, called “ECN +”, short for the European Competition Network, which brings together the competition authorities of the European Union and its Member States, gave time to the Member States until February this year to transpose the new provisions.
