MobileCom Day: mobile solutions for a successful supply chain and sales
GS1 organised its MobileCom Day with great success in 35 countries. The goal was promoting B2B solutions, standards and product tracing solutions, together with their increasingly important B2C activity. In Hungary 80 people gathered in the Magyar Telekom Headquarters to listen to presentations and see the latest innovations. Scott Duby from IBM told that by 2013 2.2 billion people will have Internet access and currently 5.3 billion people have mobile phones. Kees Jacobs, senior consultant with CapGemini told that consumers are happy to use their mobile phones for reading digital information on product labels. They are most interested in nutritional value and ingredients. Balázs Debreczeny, GS1’s marketing and training manager was the host of the event, while the company’s senior expert Péter Kurucz used the example of a Croatian product to indicate how topical it is to communicate with consumers through codes. Kristóf Bárdos, business development director of Digital Natives introduced their latest application, Mixgart. Csaba Csepeli from AFP Group presented their applications developed for the pharmaceutical industry. István Sári, sales manager of BCS familiarised the audience with their industrial identification-based solutions. Attila Medvig, senior consultant of NNG presented an indoor navigation system. Gábor Tamás and Viktor Krokavecz from iSTYLE Hungary showed the opportunities offered by iPad 2 in a corporate environment. Tamás Dankovics, business development director of Nokia spoke about their NFC-chip devices and related services. József Magos from ZTE Corporation introduced their V9 tablet. Tamás Mészáros from InformatiX presented their regional monitoring system and Gábor Privitzky of Qualysoft spoke about their e-Cart solution
