The purchasing power of workers’ earnings may increase next year, companies may implement a wage increase of between 5 and 12 percent in 2024, while it seems that many people will again demand regular office presence – it was concluded based on the latest survey by the recruitment company Grafton Recruitment, which it informed MTI in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, the gross average salary of one million forints can be reached in more and more positions, after the salary increase was around 10 percent in most areas. As an example, they mention that the salary of chief accountants ranges from 1 to 1.8 million forints, while the salary of seniors in business service centers ranges from 1 to 1.3 million forints. Salaries above 1 million are still rare in the manufacturing industry, but salary offers starting at 2 million are increasingly common in the IT sector. It was noted that there is still a high demand for highly qualified IT professionals who speak languages, and they were able to win a wage increase of between 20-40 percent by changing jobs this year.
According to the survey, companies can implement a wage increase of at least 5 percent next year, the majority will venture to a level of around 10 percent, and the top of the market may be around 12 percent – they said, adding that this way the purchasing power of most workers’ salaries could increase next year.
