GKI: sentiment index remained unchanged in March
The seasonally adjusted value of the GKI-Erste economic index remained unchanged in March 2015. The index still represents a relatively optimistic mood; the business expectations have improved slightly, while the consumer expectations, deteriorated noticeably to the 2013 autumn levels – the GKI Gazdaságkutató Zrt. (GKI Economic Research Co.) states in its latest monthly forecast made with the European Union's support.
The sentiment index in February decreased from minus 3.2 points to minus 3.6 points, while the business confidence index increased from 3.5 points to 4.2 points. The consumer confidence index decreased from minus 22.4 points to minus 25.8 points in March.
Within the business sector in March, only the industry expectations became more favorable, but the confidence index was below the level at the end of last year. (MTI)
