GKI: business and consumer confidence improved in the beginning of the year
The seasonally adjusted value of the GKI-Erste sentiment index started the year from a level has not seen for almost a year.
The business expectations were around their 2015 peak, while the customers expectations were around their 2014 high point in January – according to the survey of the GKI Gazdaságkutató Zrt. (GKI Economic Research Co.) made by the European Union's support.
The sentiment index rose to 1.0 points from the minus 1.5 points of December last year, the business confidence index increased from 4.7 points to 7.2 points, while the consumer confidence index improved from minus 19.2 points to minus 16.6 points in January. (MTI)
