GKI-Erste prosperity index: improved consumer confidence
The seasonally adjusted value of the GKI Erste prosperity index has remained unchanged in February. Its level is still representing a relatively optimistic mood. According to the survey by GKI (www.gki.hu) made with the support of the EU, the business expectations became a slightly worse, on the other hand, the consumer expectations became a slightly better than in January.
Within the business sector in February, the industrial and commercial expectations became a minimally better, however, the construction and service expectations became worse than in the previous month. A slight correction occured in the industrial confidence indicator, after the drop in January. A slight improvement occured in the assesment in stock and orders of the production of the previous including export orders as well.
