This year, the average amount for Christmas gifts is 60,411 HUF, which is a 15.5 percent increase compared to the 52,300 HUF of last year. Spendings on Christmas gifts can mean up to 17 percent of the average net monthly income per household – Árukereső.hu and GKI Digital told MTI.
On behalf of Árukereső.hu, GKI Digital conducted an online, representative survey in October involving 1,575 people. For the seventh year in a row, the research examines the Christmas gift-buying plans and habits of the adult population. (MTI)
