GKI: The growth of the Hungarian economy is at peak
The Hungarian economy grew by 4.4 percent in the first quarter of 2017 and in the first quarter of 2018, with the highest fourth-fifth highest rate in the region reaching the peak of its current cyclical business cycle – the GKI Economic Research Co., told MTI in its latest forecast.
According to GKI’s announcement, construction, agriculture, information-communication and trade are the fastest growing sectors in Hungary this year.
It was emphasized that the construction industry’s increase due to its high base will be less than last year. Industrial expectations are favorable, but the transformation in the automotive industry and the danger of a customs war between the European Union (EU) and the United States (USA) may cause problems.
