GKI: the fuel price change has no significant impact on food prices
The change in fuel prices has no significant impact on food prices, because its development is affected mainly by completely different processes. It is affected primarily by the price increase of non-processed products – according to the GKI Economic Research Company’s analysis.
The GKI examined the results of the of impact of the drastic decline in fuel prices in the economy, including primarily on food prices.
The analysis revealed that that the indirect effects of the fuel price changes can be monitored in the consumer price index for such products and services, which use significant amounts of fuel during their manufacture. (MTI)
