GfK: consumer sentiment in Germany has deteriorated
The German citizens assess their economic prospects slightly more worse than in the previous month, according to a consumer sentiment index of the GfK Market Research Institute published on Thursday.
The indicator calculated on the basis of questioning about two thousand people dropped to 10.8 points from the previous 10.9 points. A decrease was measured after five consecutive months. Analysts expected a slight improvement of 11.0 points.
The 10.9 points of September was the highest since October 2001. (MTI)
