GfK: purchasing power is increasing in Central and Eastern Europe
This year Budapest and its surroundings, as well as the Austrian border is the wealthiest region in Hungary.
This year, the purchasing power per capita increased by only 0.3 percent in Europe, compared to 2015. In the studied 42 countries significant differences can be seen regarding the level of disposable income: the highest average purchasing power can be found in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Luxembourg, while among the Europe's less affluent residents remained the residents of Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine live. Hungary improved one position in the European rankings.
