GfK: high expectations in the first quarter of 2010 in Hungary
A survey conducted by GfK Hungária and Corvinus University has come to the conclusuóion that Cunsmer Trust Index has seen a 20 point rise in the first quarter of 2010, and is thus at point 165.9.
The depth of the crisis took place this time last year, so the 50 point rise as compasred to last year fills customers with high expectations. The Consumer Expectation Index (FVI) has reached a 33 point rise, and is thus at 208.8 points. This means that citizens do in fact have great expectations and a rather opimistic outlook on life at the moment. As an addition to the optimistic international econimical outlook, elections are coming up soon too, which may also increase positivism. In spite of the positive outlook on life, customers tendency to purchase products and subsrcibe to services has not changed dramatically, has only seen a 5.4 percent rise. This certainly illustrates the fact that citizens are still not confident enough to spend money without considering it first.
