GfK: restructuring on the market of illegal cigarettes
The ratio of the Hungarian cigarette black market now exceeds 12 percent, the most striking change is the increase of the sales of legally cigarettes manufactured abroad and marketed by smugglers – GfK Hungária’s survey on the black market reveals.
In connection with the data, the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) pointed out that the share of the illegal cigarette market has not changed significantly, compared to the second half of 2013.
The market research institute on behalf of the industry players already carries out surveys for 11 years about the domestic turnover of non-taxed cigarettes in Hungary. (MTI)
