GfK: champagne market is dominated by New Year’s Eve
In the last month of the year – mainly due to the popularity of New Year's Eve – frankfurter and champagne purchasings increase significantly: in both categories, the chains expect a better-than-average traffic.
About one-sixth of the annual frankfurter turnover, while nearly half of champagne turnover is realized in December. The demand for mustard consumed with the almost traditional New Year’s frankfurter is nearly twice the turnover of an average month – shows the results of GfK’s household panel survey.
