Chestnut feast in Velem during the weekend
More than ten thousand participants are expected for this year’s Velem Chestnut Days, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday this week in Velem, Vas County, the organizers told MTI.
Mayor Szél Józsefné said that in the Kőszeg Mountains and around Velem there is a great tradition of the production of soft chestnut cultivation, and in October each year the local chestnut festival is organized, with chestnut cooking in the centre. (MTI)
