German consumer sentiment on top
In June, the Consumer Sentiment Index of the GfK Market Research Institute in Germany rose to a nearly sixteen-year high.
In June, GfK’s German consumer mood index increased to 10.6 points, has not seen since October 2001, from the previous month’s 10.4 points. Analysts expected the same value in June as in May.
The consumer sentiment improved in parallel with the growing income expectations of the population, which was the highest since 1990. (MTI)
