George Clooney’s 1 billion USD deal with tequila

George Clooney is selling his tequila company to Diageo for as much as 1 billion USD, the company announced on Wednesday – origo wrote.

The Oscar-winning actor says the deal is about mutual respect and remains in close contact with Casamigos.

Diageo said in its statement that 700 million USD will be paid for the brand, but if sales will be good in the next ten years, it would mean another 300 million USD for the owners.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the second half of 2017, Diageo does not expect much revenue in the first three years. (origo)
