At the meeting, the Minister drew attention to the fact that stimulating the economy is of paramount importance for both countries, and one of the main areas of cooperation is agriculture. Kazakhstan has 250 million hectares of arable land, therefore the production of high-quality seeds and related scientific research are a priority for the Central Asian country in terms of crop production. Hungary has important knowledge and experience in the further development of agricultural technologies, which it is ready to share with its partner. In addition to seeds, there are opportunities in the fields of cattle and poultry farming and honey production that are worth further developing. István Nagy also mentioned that in addition to political cooperation, we would like to strengthen trade opportunities. Based on Hungarian knowledge and innovations, agricultural products produced in Kazakhstan can easily find their way to other countries in Asia, which means serious economic potential for both parties.

The topics of educational and scientific cooperation were also on the agenda at the meeting

Quality specialist training is the basis for Kazakh agricultural enterprises to be successful in the long term. Agricultural investments that need to be launched as soon as possible play an important role in this process. We must continue to work together so that thanks to this cooperation, Hungarian and Kazakh agricultural enterprises can also be successful and productive. A business forum will be held in Budapest on Tuesday, organized by HEPA and the Kazakh Ministry of Trade, with the participation of 50 Hungarian and 20 Kazakh companies, including 10 in the agricultural sector.
