In the store of the future we are going to present the latest exciting trends in food and non-food categories, at the same time identifying progressive shopping and consumption experiences for retailers. Today we are going to show you new directions with the help of Tesla, L’Oréal, Szamos, Stari and ICO.
At the Pavilion A K1 Future Store stand of the Sirha Budapest 2020 trade show approximately 25 companies will showcase their innovative products, successful devices and latest solutions in a very special way, which visitors can see in the form of a guided tour. Every day we are putting different companies in the limelight in our newsletter, sending their invitation to you here and now.
In really stylish fashion, we are arriving at the Future Store in a Tesla X, parking the car at the entrance. It is needless to say that this doesn’t only happen in your imagination, you can actually see the car at the Future Store stand, courtesy of Mercarius, the biggest privately-owned fleet management company in Hungary. The firm even sends its expert who will introduce the Tesla X model to the visitors of the Future Store. It is worth checking out this model not only because of the doors, the high definition 17-inch touchscreen or the stunning speed experience, but also because it is simply amazing. The company is a dedicated supporter of eco-friendly, sustainable corporate mobility and electromobility. Fleet management specialist Mercarius employs nearly 100 people and currently operates a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles. The company is the only one in the Hungarian market that provides repair and maintenance, replacement vehicle, tyre and assistance services with its own team.
L’Oréal will be present in the Future Store for the first time this year, presenting face masks in connection with the latest and most exciting face care trends. The most dynamically growing segment of the market is veil masks, which started to conquer the world from South Korea, where they form part of the face care routine. Veil masks are fast and simple to use, and they have a really strong moisturising effect. Market leader L’Oréal plays a pioneering role in the category and established the Mask Studio, where retailers can present the products efficiently in a small space, offering shoppers a real experience and lots of information. From black textile masks enriched with charcoal, through masks containing green tea, hyaluronic acid or vitamin C extract to flexibility restoring anti-wrinkle Age Specialist masks, the composition of all products offer intensive facial skin care. The facial skin gets vitalised, moisturised and fresh in just 15 minutes, already after a single use.
This year we can also welcome 85-year-old Szamos Marzipan to the Future Store. The company produces 250 tons of marzipan a year, together with 4 million figures and flowers. They are the Hungarian market leader and Szamos Marzipan is one of the biggest market players at European level too. Their latest innovation improved the quality of product packaging and the productivity rate, making an old dream of the company come true: putting high quality chocolates on the market in tablet form. The majority of the 7 product variants recall the taste of their iconic cakes and the marzipan, thanks to the original ingredients being used. Besides these products, another new innovation has been launched: visitors can see the Praline Heart Dessert on the shelves of the Future Store, what is more, the lucky ones will also get the chance to taste it! The heart dessert is made of real nougat ( using roasted hazelnut and almond, and cocoa butter), and with the help of this product Szamos Marzipan is dedicated to change the ‘false’ image of nougat in the mind of consumers, introducing this noble, premium dessert to shoppers.
A large selection of Stari craft beers has already been available in the Future Store in former years. This time the company returns with new innovations that can already be tasted. In addition to the brewery’s product selection, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the StariMobileTruck, which won in the Pop-up Store category of the 2019 SuperStore competition. The main objective with this truck is to take fresh beer to the place of consumption. It is perfect for serving draught beer at corporate events with thousands of participants, at trade fairs or in super- and hypermarkets. In the Pop-up Store that offers a uniform look, promotion campaigns or tasting sessions can be implemented, and consumers can choose from up to 20 different beer varieties. The StariMobileTruck can be used to sell not only beer but other products too – this service can already be ordered in the Future Store.
ICO’s presence in the Future Store is regular. This year the company is bringing something special again, introducing the Edding In-line 12 and Edding Portable 12 compact printers, which revolutionise industrial permanent marking. Their smart and compact design offers high-level, intuitive functionality and exceptional connection options. Printing information can be modified quickly and simply by using the integrated touchscreen, an online browser or a smartphone. Edding in-line 12 easily fits into any production line and it can print on basically any surface, it is user-friendly and very reliable. Edding portable 12 provides the same high-level printing solution as In-line 12, but in a compact, smart and portable design. It features a positioning laser, an industrial battery and a strong, portable storage box. This product is the perfect choice for industrial permanent marking, and printing barcodes and graphics on basically any surface. Thanks to its premium battery, the printer can be operated for up to 6 hours continuously.

If you want to participate in the guided tour, you need to register on both links! Visitors can go around the Future Store stand with a guided tour that departs every 30 minutes. You can register for the tour in advance on the Trade magazin website, but if the list isn’t full, you can also sign up for a tour at the Future Store. Maximum 30 people can go around the Future Store in one tour.
