Drought has a negative impact on the fruit and vegetable production areas. Currently 120-160 millimeter rainfall is needed in the soil – Ledó Ferenc, President of the FruitVeB Inter-Professional Organization of Fruit and Vegetables and Product Council told MTI.
Apáti Ferenc, vice president of FruitVeB, said that this year, modest yields are expected than in the last year except for apricots and peaches, due to the relatively low rainfall last year and the droughty spring this year. (MTI)
