FruitVeB: fruit and vegetable production can be increased by one million tonnes
The FruitVeB calculates that in the foreseeable future – within in a few years – Hungarian fruit and vegetable production may be increased by 800 thousand, and even up to one million tonnes – told Mártonffy Béla, chairman of FruitVeB, at the presidency meeting of the organization on Monday in Budapest.
As he added, this is despite the fact that last year only two million tonnes grown in quantity around the country, due to the extreme weather conditions. The average quantity is arund 2.5 to 2.6 million tonnes – reports vallalkozoinegyed.hu.
