FruitVeB: the weekend frost does not threaten the fruit supply
The weekend frost does not threaten the fruit supply of Hungary- said Mártonffy Béla, President of the Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Interprofessional Organization on Monday.
On Friday and on Saturday night, the temperature dropped below freezing point at several parts of the country. The lowest temperature was measured in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, near Balkány. The frost caused the largest damages – in many cases even a hundred percent damge – to the farmers in that area – reports vallalkozoinegyed.hu.
