Recent research: Hungarians buy these household appliances
Hungarians are extremely price-sensitive when it comes to buying household appliances: they only buy new ones if the old one is broken, and the most important factors when buying are price and energy consumption. Almost every household has a microwave oven, and the air fryer is more popular than the toaster. We don’t trust brand services, but we take the mechanic’s word for it. Gorenje’s most recent, nationally representative research examined the household appliance purchasing habits of Hungarians.
More than three-quarters of Hungarians only buy a new household appliance if the existing one breaks down and it would be expensive to install or replace the parts, according to the latest, representative research by Gorenje. It is very rare that they change a machine to one they like better because of the energy consumption or the appearance of the existing one. It is interesting that men are more inclined to buy a new device at a discount, but the gender difference is small. The research revealed that people over 60 consider the age of the device to be less important and prefer to replace it if it breaks down and would be expensive to install or replace parts.
