Eurostat: France has the highest number of hotels in the EU
The highest number of accommodations can be found in France in the European Union, according to Eurostat.
Last year, France had a total of 5.1 million commercial accommodation units, followed by Italy with more than 4.9 million, Spain with 3.5 million, Germany with 3.3 million, Netherlands with 1.3 million, Greece with 1.2 million, Austria with 1.0 million registered accomodiation places in 2016. Hungary was ranked in the 12th place, with 446,400 accomodiation places. (MTI)
