France: No more plastic wraps for fruits and vegetables
Under a legal rule that entered into force on 1 January, 2022, France bans plastic wrapping of fruits and vegetables. The rule is part of the French anti-waste law aimed to foster circular economy. Freshfel Europe, a body representing European fresh produce trade, turned to the EC for more time and flexibility for the translation of the rule into practice.
