Hungary’s interests are important for Reál
Reál Hungária Élelmiszer Kft. is 100-percent Hungarian-owned and unites more than 2,000 stores in a franchise system. Annual sales exceed HUF 300 billion. Reál does food and drug retail and wholesale in every part of the country. Their convenience stores belong to two separate chains: stores bigger than 100m² are operated under the Reál name, while shops smaller than this are called ReálPont. The stores also sell Reál private label products and fantasy brands (e.g. Szerenád wines, Melody personal hygiene products) that are only available in Reál and ReálPont shops. At the end of last year Reál quit the National Trade Association (OKSZ) after 17 years to join the Hungarian National Trade Association (MNKSZ). Assing of the company told: it is time Hungarian-owned market players had their own, strong interest representing organisation. //
