With these payments, the Hungarian State Treasury has already disbursed around 81.5 billion forints based on 2024 AÖP applications, and the number of beneficiaries of partial payments has exceeded 63,000. The aim of the AÖP is for producers to implement activities that can be integrated into their daily practices and contribute to soil protection, water retention, biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation. The continued popularity of the program shows that farmers are committed to sustainable agricultural practices. The Ministry of Agriculture is committed to supporting the spread of environmentally and climate-conscious agricultural practices through voluntary and incentive programs, based on the active participation of farmers. Payments will continue on schedule in the coming weeks. Farmers can track the status of their applications in the usual way, on the customer portal.
