The favorable trend in food retailing continues
Between February 2014 and January 2015, the Hungarian retail reached 1 480 billion HUF turnover, which is 5 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. At the same time, in terms of volume a 4 percent increase was registered by the Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company.
The food retailing between February 2013 and January 2014 was stagnating in terms of value, and declined by 2 percent in amount, compared to the same period of the previous year. The data include the results of the ninety-packaged food categories measured by Nielsen. (Nielsen)
