Talent development programme continues
The second KOVÁSZ course took place 25 February: Szabi The Baker aka Szabolcs Szabadfi was the day’s first speaker. He used a large selection of bakery products to illustrate how Panificio il Basilico bakeries work and prepared a special twisted doughnut on-site.
In the afternoon brothers Gellért and Dániel Szó from G&D Artisan Confectionery and Bakery in Salgótarján gave a presentation about a pastry from Southern France called castel. At the end of the day students also had the chance to taste this delicacy. Gellért Szó is a good example of the guild’s policy of supporting young talents: in the past he participated in several mobility programmes abroad and thanks to an NTP grant, he visited many famous confectioneries around Europe.
