Soil sales program continues
Farmers will be able to purchase more than 3,100 pieces of state-owned land with an area of less than 10 hectares from Monday. Bids can be made for the lands for 30 days, i.e. until December 17, 2025, on the Electronic Tender System (EPR) of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to support Hungarian farmers in accessing land, as they are the ones who cultivate the lands with their everyday work and provide Hungarian families with safe food. The lands, primarily used for grape cultivation, that are being sold also serve to clean up the state land portfolio, as the properties being advertised are typically small-sized, wedged between privately owned lands, and the cultivation of which can be carried out most favorably mainly by the users of neighboring properties. In the first phase of the land sales program starting in November, more than 480 hectares of land are being offered for sale in hundreds of settlements
