Subway expanding in Europe
In response to demand from European consumers, Subway has ambitious development plans for Europe, aiming to reach 2,600 outlets in 27 countries.
The market with the highest number of
units is the UK with around 1,300 outlets, followed by Germany with
710 and France with 125. In recent years Subway has expanded in new
countries such as Bulgaria and Denmark. In Spain, the aim is to
continue expansion in the biggest cities and in tourist areas.
