Agricultural vocational training institutions are constantly renewed
The renewal of agricultural vocational training not only helps education, but also serves to strengthen rural Hungary, which is the backbone of the country, said Dr. Márton Nobilis, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, at the handover of the building energy development of the Southern Agricultural Vocational Training Center and Jánoshalmi Agricultural Technical School, Vocational Training School and College. The investment was realized with almost one billion forints.

The state secretary added that to renew the Hungarian agriculture and food industry, it is essential to train professionals with 21st century knowledge and skills, who are indispensable in shaping the future of the Hungarian countryside. Agricultural vocational training institutions not only serve to convey professional knowledge, but are also arenas for value preservation and value creation. Here, students learn not only the love of farmland and community cohesion, but also the foundations that will shape them into agricultural entrepreneurs and farmers of the future. He explained that as a result of the current modernization, an energy-saving facility is available to students and teachers, which supports learning and contributes to the reduction of maintenance costs so that the savings are used for the further development of training. The government is committed to the continuous support of agricultural vocational training, as the knowledge and experience gained here creates an opportunity for young people to enter the agricultural sector prepared and to contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of Hungarian agriculture in the long term – reminded the state secretary.
