The guest traffic of hotel ships continues to grow
The guest traffic of hotel ships on the Danube River sailing through Budapest continues to rise. According to the experts of the Hungarian Tourism (MT) Ltd. their number last year amounted to 400 thousand.; but the competition sharpens with other cities as well, including Vienna and Bratislava.
The majority of respondents, more than 89 percent of them have not visited Budapest before, so it was important to them that the Hungarian capital was the last stop of the trip. In addition, the city's beauty, history and kinship relations in Hungary were mentioned by the guests.
99.7 percent of those surveyed would recommend a trip to Budapest to their friends, acquaintances. 70 percent of them said that the experiences in Budapest were better than expected.
