The ratio of the Slovak national foods are declining in the Slovakian stores
The proportion of domestic food products is steadily declining in the Slovakian stores since the country's accession to the EU. In the spring of 2014 it declined to 43 percent – the survey of the Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber (SPPK) shows.
According to the datas of the survey made by the GfK market research company, the proportion of domestic food products is less than the ratio of domestic products in the neighboring countries.
In Slovakia, the ratio is the smallest (between 29-43 percent) in case of discount stores, and warehouses and at hypermarkets that have the largest turnover. In the smaller stores the proportion is 60 percent exceeding the national average. (Starovic Tibor, MTI)
